ONE STEP AT A TIME

The Health
Continuum

A rational approach to improving your health.

What are you willing and able to do today? The Health Continuum helps you find the one change that gives you the most health for your effort — and then the next one.

Start your wellness journey now.

ABOUT THE FRAMEWORK

Health is a continuum, not a verdict.

On one end of the continuum is perfect health; on the other end is death. The Health Continuum is comprised of nine strands — the separate and distinct factors that, individually and synergistically, produce your total health picture and your position on the continuum.

Almost everyone wants to live a long life of health and vigor, and almost everyone is able and willing to make some lifestyle change right now that moves them closer to perfect health and further from death.

This framework is designed to help you identify the change or changes you are ready and able to make today — the ones that deliver the maximum health improvement for your effort.

STRANDS OF THE CONTINUUM

Where the work actually happens

Movement

Resistance training and aerobic work built around six basic movement patterns you can do for life.

Sleep & Recovery

The strand most people trade away first, and the one that quietly governs the rest.

Nutrition

Rational eating decisions instead of another diet you cannot sustain past February.

Mind & Relationships

Stress, purpose and the people around you move your position on the continuum as much as any workout.
